The cousins first and second were well represented. It was great to catch up with them. The hunky Greg and his wife just returned from Israel. He had some great stories to share with us. His wife is charming and they now reside in Phoenix. I warned him I might come visit ,but not expect me to hike the Grand Canyon with him.
We met Daphne and Aunt Evelyn in the the airport and had a fun time talking .Uncle Ed and Uncle Buddy rode from the Coast together. It is a wonder they made it. They were acting like a couple of twelve year old boys together. We got on to them more than once for misbehaving. They left after the funeral to run an errand in Missouri for some bee making supplies. I kindly inquired why not order on the Internet and they just both started laughing at me.We stuck Uncle Ed with our breakfast check and Aunt Evelyn kindly bought our dinner one night . We had a great time reminiscing about old times and the tales get bigger every time we are together.
The Most fun part of the trip was traveling with my cousin Karen, Robert was about to kill us on the way home. We started playing this ,WHAT IF game and it got so funny. You guessed it, I wet my pants waiting for the plane in Memphis because Karen was mortified by the fact that I would rather have diabetes than be bald. She collapsed in the airport waiting area laughing so loud , I was sure they going to come and give us a Breathalyzer test. We were so giddy that this cute traveling man could not make eye contact with us because we had him laughing also. Why not be happy? It sure makes the time pass quickly.
I spent the night with Karen and saw her beautiful home that they just moved back in from Katrina. It was beautiful and they really made the best of losing everything they owned, but still felt it enhanced their life for the better and the lessons they learned were priceless and it was FAMILY that got them through.
Home Sweet Home for all of us and loving you from another city in LA..

The actual name of the game is "Would you Rather... (WYR)". WYR was created by my baby sister about 8 years ago at Christmas time (and thats another story).
I salute Robin and her sister Rebecca for teaching me the life skills of hair and makeup.
I carry on the tradition and share my craft at work (a big hospital). Bad day? No worry, I can help you. I can whip your hair up into the "cutest do" you ever had. Put on some lips. Now dont you feel better?
