We got up early and made it to Senatobia in time for the wedding day brunch. JC got us there in record time. She has an inner GPS system ! She can read directions...We had a great time and it was so much fun to be with the groom and his family on the wedding day. All were buzzing with details and anticipation. JC and I found what we thought was the church and headed back to Grenada. We were booked to stay in an Hampton Inn , but to our utter amazement..we got to the Hampton and it was still being built. Needless to say, I had a HUGE meltdown and commenced to calling Hampton's all over the world to find out how on earth we could get booked into a hotel that was under construction. I found out nothing and know my name has been flagged with a big mark not to give this woman a room anywhere in the United States. I could be labeled a mad woman by independent owners of this hotel chain. Thanks Goodness, there was a Holiday Inn Express across the street from the under construction hotel that was booking rooms!
JC and I had a few moments to relax and headed back to the wedding. We got there and realized we had found the wrong church ,but quickly discovered another First Baptist down the street. I am still wondering how there could be two of them in such a small town ?!The wedding was sweet and Shannon(MOG) looked fabulous. Her dress was perfect and she was so tiny.
We had fun at the reception in Como, MS. where we visited with their relatives and friends. Shannon's mom, NANA told JC some funny stories of things that we did in Hburg while we were growing up. Old friends are a treasure. Shannon and I have been through some TIMES together, yet we can still look back and laugh at the soap opera lives we were living then! God is good and has blessed us both with great marriages even though we thought we would never be happy again.
Laughter and prayer are just about the best things one can hold on to when things aren't great. We survived and still can Laugh our heads off about the past.Jay has grown up, I still see him as a little boy , in a smocked outfit, but somewhere along the way he became a fine young man.His mama and friends prayed over him more times than we can count. Good Luck on your marriage Jay.We know life will bring many happy times for you.
Loving you and can't wait to post about JC's friends tomorrow and our Grenada visit..Robin

Robin, sounds like you had a great time. You know I want details. I know you set those Hampton Inn people straight! Laughter is the best medicine. I believe that is in the bible somewhere. Proverbs maybe? Did we say what time for coffee Wednesday? Our friend Janet can meet us if we do it before CBS.
Lori
I am so excited about coffee- what time and where? I just need to let the nanny know what time to be here!
