It was a LOUIE Christmas

Those of you who are in my circle know just what Louie I am talking about ! It is another one of my material girl needs coming forth on Christmas Day.

Jeane Carroll got a purse and a make -up bag and I got a wallet that was filled with gift cards from TJ MAXX, Bed,Bath, and Beyond,A Spa at the Grand Hotel , Ross, and Barnes and Nobles. We girls hit it big time this year. Dee was very proud of himself and thought of the gifts without help. That counts in my book as a BIG Christmas here at the Brookshire House.

Our day was quiet and just what we needed after a really bad week. We ate , slept, and ate some more just about all day long. Our breakfast was Eggs Benedict with fruit. We snacked most of the day on some great appetizers and our late lunch was beef tenderloin, potato casserole, salad, asparagus, and rolls. It was some fine vittles. I believe it was the most relaxing Christmas I have ever had. I did not get dressed all day. Dee and Jeane Carroll took a bath but not me, I was down and dirty and did not even care.

I would give back all the Louies in the world to have my friend back. I know she would never want to come back . She is healed and in a glorious place. She had Christmas with Jesus. I can't imagine the splendor she must be seeing .I want to be joyful about it but I am here ,where we live in this imperfect world, where people hurt you and you hurt others and sin is all around and inside us. It not a pretty picture but one we live with each day. I keep claiming the saying Dr. Fain preached at her memorial, that God is Good. He is good today and I will keep believing it until I can see Becky again one day when he takes me to that perfect place that she is calling her new house.
