Recap of our Thanksgiving

Tuesday around 12 noon, I finally left Dothan to head to Seagrove. I dropped off the dog, my car laden with all sorts of Thanksgiving stuff and Christmas gifts,We were having our simulated Christmas on Friday morning.

I had enough clothes and food to help feed and clothe all of Africa. I made it there to get the key and get in our expensive rented condo. The accommodations were great except for the fact that there was not a decent TV in the whole place. The most recent and biggest model had to be from 1999. I started to panic thinking of the football games that were needed to be watched with grave importance.

We survived and at least one of our teams WON. Go DOGS!! We can't wait to find out where we will go to a bowl game . We are hoping for Memphis.

Jeane Carroll, Dee , and an unexpected guest arrived just in time for a dinner of sushi at Seaside . Jeane Carroll stopped by Daphne from Mississippi State and brought our three year old,red headed granddaughter, Mary Fuller. I could not have been more delighted.

Wednesday was a bit of a bust! The whole bunch went beach-a tonic on me! By this , I mean, no one was listening to me, following my instructions, or had any regard for time (they were on beach time.)

We had a few stressful moments, such as Dee being locked out of the condo while Jeane Carroll and Mary Fuller went to visit a friend.

Next, Dee and I got locked out while Jeane Carroll was taking a nap! We squirted water on the bedroom window to wake her up.

The most DRAMATIC moment was when Lauren and Jeff arrived, Dee was asleep and did not answer the door while they waited outside for 25 minutes thinking he had probably had a heart attack and was dead on the couch.

I was the one who put this notion in their head as I talked to them via cell phone from a shop in Rosemary Beach where I was shopping. Jeane Carroll saved the day by driving to the condo to let them in, just as Dee saundered to the door saying" I was wondering when ya'll were going to get here" !

During the time I was left unattended at the shop , the owner offered to buy me a drink at the wine bar next door. I don't know if she thought I had totally lost it or was so happy with the large sum of money I had just spent in the store.

Back to the drama, HELLO...Does anyone have a clue what anyone else is doing? Anyho , we managed to pull it all together and have a great night visiting and preparing for Turkey Day on Thursday.I forgot to mention that Brooks(our grandson was oh, so precious also. He has grown in three weeks and is smiling like crazy. He is about as cute as they come. I know, I can't help myself with these little ones God has blessed us with, Life is, oh so good when they are around..

This is getting long so I will write more in the morning. Loving each of you and can't wait to hear about your day! Robin
