Another Night at the DCC !

We had yet another fun evening at The DCC last night to celebrate Dee's birthday. I know you are thinking ,they go there all the time.Yes, we do! Almost once a week at least. It is quiet, relaxing, and the food is good.We ate dinner in the dining room with special friends to celebrate Dee's life.

It was hard to celebrate for all of us because another friend who is in the midst of a serious life struggle would have been there with us if she was well.We all have such heavy hearts and we are still praying for a miracle. Our hearts are so full and we know God in in control and each of us are standing on our faith. It's times like this that we appreciate each other and find comfort in our friendships .

Back to the celebration.. I used to wonder why older couples always went out and did not entertain at home. Now, that I am older ,I know. It is just too much trouble and we all enjoy going out. It was hard to go out when the children were growing up. Several things factored into this , such as money, babysitters, having to be where the children were, and if they were at home with friends,we needed to be there with them. It just funny how life changes. I like life with no children at home. It is peaceful and quiet and comforting. No offense Jeannie..I wasn't sure if it was going to be this good, but it has it's perks.I hardly ever cook and we enjoy going out just the two of us. Life is funny..Change is funny..But you know what?It happens and we learn and grow with it. We adapt to what we have to do. We just make the best of what is going on around us and time ticks on. All this is not done alone of course. We are counting on our father to guide us in this new direction and entrance into the next phase of life.

Life is a gift and everyday is new and fresh with our repentance to him. We need to make each minute count. Don't hold back, do what you are putting off, make that phone call you are dreading, visit an old friend, call your mother-in-law . Just make the most of your day and above all, Thank God you are here to do it and let him guide you each step of the way. Let him make your day blessed.Loving all of you .I am hoping to make the most of this Saturday . Robin

I am putting off picking up this house. I have changed closets and stuff is everywhere..I need to practice what I preach!
