Happy Birthday Mr. Optimist

Today is my husbands Birthday. He is fifty seven years of age today. I thank God for his presence in my life. He is what one would call an Optimist.

Optimist- One whose whose doctrine is the existing world is the best possible. The belief that good ultimately prevails over evil. The tendency to to take the most cheerful or hopeful view of matters.

He is all of these things. No matter what the situation or circumstance , it is his nature to see the best. I wish I could say it has rubbed off on me but I am sorry to say, I am the exact opposite. My mind works in another direction so it's safe to say we balance each other out.

There are very few times when I have seen this man down. I , on the other hand need daily counseling from all who I come in contact with.Dee has this character that is like that of a solid wall. It never comes falling and is upmost and solid most all the days he has lived. Now, I don't want you to think he is Mr. Perfect because I am here to let him know he is not, at least once a day. In his mother's eyes ,perfection is all she has ever seen. That Mama loves her boy and tells him whenever she gets the chance.His sisters pretty much adore him also and seek his advice often. I share him with lots of people.

This brings me to my girls. As some of you know he is not the birth father of my older daughters, but this man has raised them to honor The Lord, their selves, and the world they live in. He has taught them respect,loyalty,character, and how an earthly father is to live his life. He has a STRONG work ethic , which messes me up sometimes, but this he has taught our girls also. He is beyond generous, almost to fault at times and shares his gifts and talents with all he knows. He has a grin that is somewhat like that of Santa on Christmas morning. He is laid back and I am telling you , this is the way he is 365 days of the year. I am so blessed to be his wife.

When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he said, for you not to spend any money ,so Mr. Optimist this is your birthday gift. Please know how much you mean to me, your family, your friends , your employees, and everyone who knows your smile and gets to be honored to be in your world. I love you and hope for many years of happiness and lots of birthdays to come. I am Loving you with all I am and so thankful you are mine..Happy Birthday Dee... Robin
