Good Morning 2009

Well, It's a New Year , Peeps..

I was snuggled under the covers with the hubs snoring and two grandchildren in the room purring..It was a beautiful sound to ring in the new year,,What could be better than be surrounded by those you love?

In the next room are lots of people sleeping on an air mattress wishing we would be a little quieter...

Ok..time for reflection ...I wish I had some goals but the list is OVERWHELMING to me..There are so many things I need to do better..But for today..

I will...

Cook my favorite meal of the year..

Black-eyed peas and rice..
cole slaw like my MamMaw used to make with real mayonnaise..
Collards and turnips..I cooked that yesterday with some hog chows...
Macaroni and cheese..Homemade with a white sauce and sharp cheddar cheese..lots of salt and pepper,,,
Send Dee to get some fried chicken..

And we are off to celebrating Brookshire Style with everyone cramming in this small apartment..Eating and laughing and having fun..Sitting outside in our fold up chairs..Yes ma'am.We like to have a good time like that..This is one of my favorite days of the year..

I like to see the blips on tv of all the celebrity blunders..

Why it is we lost so much money in 2008..

Reruns of Jon and Kate Plus Eight and the Dugars...

Yes I will make resolutions tomorrow, cause I can't think about it today..I am Miss Scarlett and going to enjoy the moment of this New Year!!

Any way..I need to keep a four year old from WAKING the sleeping college students in the next room who stayed out really late..I don't want to know how late cause I am a Mama and that would cause me to worry and you know..Today is a worry free day cause It's a New Year..What a Blessing to wake up and know God has given us one more day to love and laugh and see his blessings and feel his grace..

It's going to be a God filled Year for me, Folks..I want him to be at my side every second of every day...May Jesus fill you with his spirit and may the New Year be one full of Jesus for you too..I can't think of anything that would be better for any of us...He is the 911 we need, peeps..May your year be full of his grace..

Loving you from a room full of younguns and college girls and guys..what a mix..don't you know they wish we would be QUIET !!!!
