Living Life

Well, Just as I told you all, my family just lives life on the road. We never know what we might be doing next, so here goes the story.

I was headed to Fairhope to have my hair colored and cut and then off to Meridian to spend Mothers Day and I got a call from Lauren with some really sad news that Jeff's Aunt Sonya had died suddenly . She was such a great lady and was always with us for family celebrations and we had just been with her at Easter. It is a great blow for Jeff and his family.

We adjusted plans and I got to be there to help with my PRECIOUS grandchildren for a couple of days while Lauren and Jeff made preparations for Aunt Sonya's funeral. Jon and Jeff are her only living relatives, therefore they are left with the house and everything to take care of, including Jeff's grandmother. That is a lot to deal with for a young couple who never knew they would be left with this big responsibility.

Then, as the day went on, we got a call from Dee's mother saying his first cousin had died suddenly and off he went to take his mother to the funeral in Milport, Al. As they were coming home from this funeral, he got a call that one of Mrs. Brookshire's dear friends had passed away in Jackson,Ms.

Needless to say, we ALWAYS travel with funeral clothes because we have a large family and it always happens when you least expect it. I am not making light of the situation, but we are always attending a funeral or wedding of some sort. It is the nature of our life. It sounds weird, but we were raised going to funerals ,attending church, knowing that family is everything and you are just there for them, regardless of the situation or what you have to cancel. It's just what you do when you are part of a family.Lucy got to cooking up some food for everyone and Lauren's friends pitched in and we were set to make it for the next few days.

We will Miss Aunt Sonya..she was very active in her church and had lots of friends. She loved her family and loved Jeff and Jon as if they were her own children.

Living Life on the Highway..It sounds like a good song, doesn't it ?
