Weekend Randomness

We have had a quiet slow weekend, which Dee really needed. I refuse to buy food for just a few days, so we have eaten out a good bit. We do that when we have food here , so why waste my time and money when the food just sits there.. Keeping up two households can really mess with your mind. We eat more at the apartment than here because, guess what? We are there more...So much for our eating habits.

Dee worked on Saturday and I cleaned out two closets, Yes ma'am, and I am feeling really good about it. I changed out our winter threads to our summer threads..It takes time and I like to weed out what I did not wear last season. Isn't that what the professional organizers say to do? If you haven't worn it for six months, you AREN"T going to ever wear it. soo..get rid of it baby..

I am ruthless when it goes to tossing things and so you will see me in the same outfit over and over because, yes..I have tossed them all out.It feels good to me to make things simple.

We go to lots of meetings and I met this precious woman and she always looks so cute. She always wears black and white..After talking to her over the years, she shared her secret with me. She has one really nice black suit..She wears really great jeans and a white shirt every day. She owns two purses, one large and one small..She has one cute straw hat and she says she wears the suit to death. She says QUALITY outweighs quantity any old day. She told me she has no decisions to make when it comes to travel because she just has a few GOOD things. It makes sense to me, but I am way to chicken to try it.She doesn't fool with a lot of jewelry, hers is good and real also..She is just into classic and simple. I wish I could be more like that. Sure would cut down on decision making time. She is so smart and stylish and in her 60's.Sounds fun ,doesn't it?

We will travel early this week and be back again for the weekend. .My sweet oldest daughter is turning THIRTY this week. Did I say, I have a thirty year old daughter? We must be talking about someone else because I could not possibly have a daughter in that age bracket. Oh my, time really sneaks up on us when we are having fun.I can't wait to share some really neat stuff with you this week about Lauren and what she means to me.

Life is short, so tell someone that you love all about why and how much they mean to you. You never know what it will mean to them or to yourself.

Loving you and looking forward to a special week.

From the Mother of a THIRTY YEAR Old ? It hardly seems possible..

Oh, yes. I know the feeling. How could they possibly have gotten to 30 without me aging a bit?!?

I am not good at throwing things away. I just keep hanging on. And I know I shouldn't, but I do it anyway.

I do wear a lot of black and white, though. You can always add a bright color to it to give it some oomph! Listen at me talking all fashiony! But, I have waaaaay more than 2 purses!
