Dee, Jeane Carroll, and I had the most fantastic time at Noon Years Eve at LULU's in Gulf Shores with our grandchildren ,Mary Fuller and Brooks on New Years Eve.
Noon Years Eve is a celebration of New Years for children. They had crafts, balloons, face painting, bubble wrap fireworks, and sand castles for the children to play on.There was lots going on and it was a capacity crowd. The weather was perfect it was just a great place to be.
When I asked Mary Fuller what her favorite part of the day was ,she told me eating chicken fingers was the best! That's my girl, loving up the food. We also had some good lunch while we were there
We purchased one of LuLu's cookbooks for our Lucy and she autographed it for us later that day. LuLu is Jimmy Buffets sister for those of you who aren't familiar with Gulf Shores . LULU was raised in the area and her given name is Lucy Anne. That would be just like my daughter Lucy Anne.It was great fun and we loved babysitting for our grandchildren.
We were tired when they went home the next afternoon ,but it was worth it just to get to love on them.I cooked my usual New Years Day menu and the kids all came to the apartment to have some blackeyed peas and collards. They were out of turnips at two stores. What up with that?
Happy New Year to all of you. I have not made any resolutions just yet. I am thinking about it though. Many blessings for 2008 to each of you. Loving you all into 2008. Robin

Robin, what a wonderful memory you made for New Year 2008. I can't think of anything more fun that being outside, at the beach, with gorgeous weather, surrounded by those I love. Great Pictures!

So glad you ran into Tam & girls. I was afraid I had built this event up too much, but sounds like it was great for all again. I see Mary Girl in front of the sand hill. I know that was fun! Evelyn told me she still has her necklace she made there last year after all their moves WOW! Did they do the "bubble wrap" fire works? Can't wait to see you & Jeanie
Robin,
I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago and wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed it. So many of the people you speak of are ones I know but never get to see since leaving FBC. Your site has blessed me. So much so, that I created my own so I could do a better job of staying in touch! Thank you for sharing your life. It has been a blessing to me. Kelli Peterson
