Tops List for 2007

1. Went to Hattiesburg in January to a showing of good friend S.E. Moore's original designs.He displayed my moms wedding dress, my first weddings dress and my sisters wedding dress.There were over 1000 items of clothing made by S.E. It was later featured in Mississippi Magazine.


2. Lauren found out she was having a boy on January 17, 2007 ! We all screamed so loud it scared Mary Fuller in the sonogram room.
   
3. Jeane Carroll got initiated into Chi Omega Sorority. I went to the mother daughter tea and her grandmother and aunt were there to pin her.


4. Mary Fuller celebrated her 3rd birthday on February 4, 2007.What a blessing she is to us. She is way too cute for words.


5. Went to New York for spring break with Dee, his sister Jane, and Jeane Carroll.The highlight of the trip for me was going to church at the Brooklyn Tabernackle.


6. We went to Memphis to my friend Paula Wages son ,Matthew's wedding. It was over the top..March 24,2007


7. My best Friend in Hattiesburg, Shannon Wiggins daughter , Leigh got married on March 17, 2007. Lauren was in the wedding. She and Leigh are childhood friends/


8. Our friend from Ross Lee graduated from high school on May 25,2007.


9. My grandson Ryan Brookshire Hauge was born on May 31, 2007. We thank God for a boy that is real healthy and growing like a weed!


10. We went to friend Mitzi Chambers son, Joe's wedding in Chattanooga,TN. on June 16,2007.
    
11. Dee and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary on June 21, 2007.


12. We visited Jeane Carroll at Camp Desoto in Mentone, Al. where she served on staff for the summer.
    
13. Our friend Susan Blumberg's daughter, Hayden got married in Birmingham on July 14,2007. Lucy was in her wedding .
    
14. We left for an Alaskan cruise on July 16,2007 with Dee's mother sister, Jane and her two sons Matthew and Newton . We had a great time and the weather was perfect.


15. We went to the beach for our annual Brookshire Beach Reunion for a week on July 26, 2007.


16. We went to Birmingham to the wedding of Dee's friend Ed Mabry's , daughter, Lauren on August 18,2007.


17. Dee and I went with Janet and Gary Martin to the Taylor Hicks concert here in Dothan. August 24, 2007


18. Dee and I went to New York for a meeting on August 11,2007.
    
19. My friend Mitzi's daughter, Casey Chambers was married on September 22, 2007 in Dothan.


20. Our niece Mary Brook Allen had a beautiful fall wedding in Jackson on September 29,2007.
    
21. We went to Mississipi States homecoming in Starkville, Ms. with Pat and Russell Lee.


22. Dee celebrated his 57th birthday with friends at the Dothan Country Club.


23. Our family went to the beach for Thanksgiving ,2007.


24. Jeane Carroll and I went to Senatobia, Mississippi for the wedding of Jay McArthur on December 8,2007.We also visited her friends Clayton and Kyle in Grenada, MS.


25. We also went to the most beautiful Martha Stewart wedding in Meridian of our neice Elizabeth Vise on December 15, 2007.


26. We celebrated Christmas with Dee's family on Sunday, December 16,2007.


27. My friend Becky was permantly healed and went to be with Jesus on December 19, 2007.


28. On December 23, we celebrated Christmas with my brother ,sister and her family in Hattiesburg at my brothers lovely home.


29. We will be babysitiing for our adorable grandchildren on New Years Eve. We are going to the noon day celebration for children at LULU's in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Now, let's see that is seven out of town weddings, five vacations, nine family birthdays, lots of Christmas, plus four bridesmaids luncheons, several funerals, lots of Dr.s visits, dentist, therapy sessions , and many meals out. Not excluding many hours of church, Sunday School, and Bible Studies, plus decorating, cropping, needlepointing , and my new favorite hobby of BLOGGING..Many cups of coffee, lots of bottles of wine, many phone calls , tears, laughter , and love make up the days of the years 2007.Oh, I forgot all the trips to Daphne, Hattiesburg, Destin, and many other cities that we were in..You can't say we weren't busy..The fact is each thing we did had meaning and shaped the way we are today and what we will be in the future. May God's love and grace continue to sustain us as we walk into 2008 with him as our guide in all we do.
