I have decorated sparingly this year. Last year I had an engagement party for a friends son and that was when I went all out ! Nothing like trying to impress people..Why do we decorate? Is it a tradition or does it make us feel good? Do we do it to impress others? Do we do it for our family? When you children are grown , it somewhat loses it's importance. Now, let me say, decorating is a one woman job over here on Evergreen. No girls here to help and the milkman has no interest in any of it. He did bring in the tree for me after begging him for three days to go out and assemble the thing in the storage unit. Oh well, it is done and I did it in a day! I usually drag it out for about a week.
I will try and post some pictures this afternoon. Loving all of you and MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I am tagging again!!Write seven random things about you and your Christmas !
* I have never had all my children under my dwelling(meaning..my home) on Christmas Eve or
Christmas Day in my lifetime! There is therapy involved with this one.
* I love the decorations when they are up and loathe taking them down.
* I wrap all my gifts in the same kind of paper. A different look every year. This year it is polka
dots !
* I have at least three sets of Christmas stockings. My favorite are the needlepoint ones that
are done on painted canvases.
* I stole an angel from my sister one year that topped my tree for years. It was a running
joke . She stole it back and gave it to me as a gift one year.
* I still cherish all the home made ornaments the girls made over the years.I have the
necklaces they Lucy and Jeane Carroll made at First Pres.
* I like nice expensive gifts for Christmas. This should come as no surprise to all of you that
know me. If Dee does not pick it out, it does not count.
* I have bought fabric and made three sets of bows for my den, just this year. The last set are
the ones I like! Lime green..I could not find the right shade of green and have become
obsessed about it!
* We have celebrated once already with our immediate family, we will do it again with my
family five hours away and Dee's family four 1/2 hours away. We also have two important
weddings to attend during the month of December. One in Memphis and one in Meridian. I
guess you can see I will be on the go again this month.
I know this was more than seven. I get carried away! Loving you on this beautiful day. Pray for my sweet friend Becky to be free of pain. It has been a hard three days. Robin

Hey, love the pictures! Those grandbabies are precious. I am behind on my blogging. I was at UAB with my Mom for an appointment on Tuesday. Today I have FINISHED decorating my 3 trees. 1 large, 1 medium, 1 small. But that is only about 1/2 of what needs to be done. I hope to finish everything on Saturday or Monday. Post those Christmas pics...I need some idears.
Lori p.s. I accept the "tag".
