My Favorite Things

I am home from Daphne and instead of cleaning up I am blogging, My new favorite thing to do. I am keeping this for my grandchildren and children to laugh about one day when I am long gone. What fun times they will have thinking of that crazy DeeDee!If you are sick of me , do not read any further because this is all about me..

My Favorite Things( not in this order) This excludes my Real favorite things which are My God, My sweet Husband, My Family, My Church, and My Friends..I am tagging my blogger friends to write and tell everyone your favorites!I think this is the term.Tagging?

1. Ice- I love any kind of ice..Cubed, crushed is my favorite, No, I do not have an iron deficiency.. I like lots of it in my glass.It is best over diet coke when you are real thirsty.In New York or other big cities you do not get a LOT of ice ,just a little. I want a lot. I also like it on my orange juice, You should see the look on the ladies face at Crackle Barrel when I ask for a cup of ice with my juice.

2. Wine- Who ever says life is too short to buy cheap wine does not know what he is talking about. My all time favorite white wine comes in a box..Yes ,it is made by Franzia and is called Crisp White. It is the best. My dear mama turned me on to this many years ago. It is real cheap..

3. Coffee- The first cup of the day has got to be the best..Sometimes I go to sleep early so I can get up early to have my coffee. It does not matter what kind as long as it is caffeniated. I also have it in the afternoon on some days. I love it in the winter when it is cold and I also love Starbucks..

4.Dog Days- I had one of these yesterday. This was termed by one of Lucy's friends. It is a day when you just lay around and act like a dog. You eat, sleep,lay around, do nothing all day. You can get excited when someone comes in or you may bite their head off for interrupting your special day. I however do not like dog food. The finer, the better..

5. Scrap booking, Needle pointing,Smocking- These hobbies take up lots of my time and money. I love them all so much. I do them while surfing the channels on TV or watching movies when I can get the thing to work...

6. Giving Parties- This is one of my all time favorites. I like to give parties and tell people what to do at my house. I spare no expense when lavishing my guests at a party in my home. I love all aspects of getting ready for it down to the decorations(theme based),cleaning,decorating, flowers, and cooking. I am a poor Martha Stewart..I was so sad when she was in jail.

7. The Beach- We have been to lots of beaches, my favorite is in Seaside and Destin, Florida. I like my beach with a house overlooking the ocean with all the amenities that are first class. I like the ocean when it is raining, sunny..I will take it any way I can get it. Most of the time it is visiting someone else who has a place there.

8. Fine Dining- I love to fine dine. MY all time favorite restaurant to date is in Brooklyn, New York. It is the River Cafe'. I have only been once but it was spectacular. I do not mind spending the big bucks on food. It is one of life's greatest pleasures.Try the lobster tail with lime butter. It was sooo good..I could write a book about my favorite places at the beach but Cafe 30A is one of them. I do not like many restaurants in Dothan but Kieyto is a good one for sushi. My favorite in Daphne is Market By the Bay. A dive where I had the best fried shrimp I have ever tasted . Emerald was there a few weeks ago. Can you believe that?The worst fine Dining experience we have had was in Washington, DC at the Ruth Chris. It had terrible service. I read not to long ago it was one of the finest they have. What is this world coming to? I left out my favorite in Hattiesburg, MS.,The Purple Parrot.The seafood risotto is to die for..I know gluttony is a sin..

9. Pedicures- The best I have ever had is at Fancy Nails in Dothan, Alabama. Toe is the man...That is his name and he has the touch.
