Dee and I had dinner with two couples of friends at the Dothan Country Club last night. It was such fun. We have been friends with these couples for twenty something years. It was a rare night that we were all together but it just all worked out for us to have dinner. We sat on the patio which was my idea and it was a little cold but it was pleasant just the same. The conversation was uplifting as we have always all been there for one another over the years. Dee and I are embarking into unknown territory in a new phase of our life and they have been so supportive. I will talk of this more on November 1, when I can share more about what is going on.Dee got an important phone call while we were there and they were just so there for us. Old Friends are important. They share a phase of your life that is so intense. These friends have been there when our children grew into teenagers( a frightening experience at times). We have walked through some serious church adventures but through it all we have remained close and able to share our views with love and respect to one another. I am thankful for them and want them to know I love them. I am big on telling people I love them. I know life is short and I want those I love to know I lift them up in prayer and cherish and value their opinions.Our night was fun and we are so thankful to our Friends. We want you to know we are grateful to you and your concern and prayers for our future. Thanks sweet friends for loving us and I hope you know we love you.Happy Times are imperative to our friendships so try and make the time to be with your old friends or new friends. Life is not the same without them.Hope your day is good today. Loving each of you..
I got a neat call from a friend of a friend yesterday to tell me she had been reading my blog and how much she had enjoyed it. It was great fun to talk to her and I am so glad she is reading my ride with life. Thanks K for the call. It was sweet of you to take the time to share with me. We must try and get together soon. That call made my day!
