A Birthday Crop
I have spent the day with some of my favorite people recording my memories by cropping. Those of you who do not know what this means, let me explain. I keep photo journals of my family. I started this years ago with Creative Memories and have kept it going for a while. I love getting together with Pat, Janet and now Leigh to spend the day doing just that..CROPPING!!For Janet's birthday she wanted to celebrate scrapbooking so we fixed our favorite junk food and had a geat birthday lunch. We don't like to stop long to eat because this is a waste of time when you are in the midst of a project or spread as we call it. We use scrapbook terms and we are real serious about it. We do a lot of laughing, a lot of asking questions about what to title our page, what colors to use, etc.. It is a creative outlet that I absolutely love. It is also about making journals for years to come so my great grandchildren will know about Dee Dee ,Papa ,and her family. It is such a great legacy to leave my family. They will know just about everything we celebrated , every trip, holiday, family beach trip,etc.. that took place. I also includes sales receipts some times of how much things cost. I did this with Jeane Carrolls prom dress and Lauren and Lucy's wedding dresses. I also put our wedding budgets in there so they can have a big laugh one year about their weddings. Hopefully my great grandchildren might go back to having weddings like mine was. A little cake, punch, and a few sandwiches, nuts, and mints...Do you think that will ever come back? Anyway we do this for 8 straight hours on a good day. Sometimes we have appointments we can't break, such as hair color and cuts, IMPT. doctor visits and other things that come up. We don't hold this against anyone because it could be us with the emergency hair color one week. We try to schedule these events at least twice a month. They go on our calender with great importance. We sometimes crop at Janet's beach place for days on end. We don't put on makeup and break for water and nourishment only. We also work at our favorite Creative Memories rep,Paula Wages. Paula has what we call sticker magic and can make any layout special with her sticker magic. We sometimes call her at night to come over and just magic up our pages if we are feeling they are not quiet up to our artistic standards. One year we planned a trip to Minnesota to the Creative Memories Convention. We had so much fun and came home with some break through products that revolutionised our cropping!I know some of you think I am kidding but scrap booking is a multimillion dollar business. Just look for us on the Today Show or Oprah soon! We could tell some tales of our fun times together and while we are doing it we are building a legacy for our families for years to come. Happy Cropping...Robin

I know all about these cropping sessions! I have made 1 fabulous scrapbook and then I had 2 babies and haven't made one since! What's wrong with me? I hope blogspot never deletes my blog... it's my digital scrapbook! :) I'd love to see all your handy work!
Itmakes me really tired to hear everything you are doing! You need to come visit me in the mountains and relax! Love you
O Mrs. Robin, just thinking about ya'll cropping makes me laugh. When I walk into the room I either get asked 20 questions all at one time or start laughing from everyone's laughter. You know how I love a good laugh! Those are some great times!!
