The Wedding

Casey and Winston's wedding was beautiful. The rain came and went before the guests arrived. We got to the church one hour before starting time and the girls were furious at me for all the sitting time we had. I love just watching all the guests arrive and looking at the ushers seating the people. It is interesting to watch the dynamics of families. The church was full of family and friends. Mitzi looked regal and the grooms mother Paula was beaming . Mark was so proud and you could just see the love he has for Casey shining in his eyes. Casey was the show!!She looked amazing..Glowing is all I can think of..Her dress was stunning. The bridesmaids were all beautiful and so excited for their friend. Dr. Fain focused on the covenant of marriage . The band was rocking and had people on the dance floor right from the start. The men and women were checking football scores from the bar at the Dothan Country Club. We stayed till the very end when Casey and Winston left. We enjoyed the whole event from start to finish. What makes us women love a wedding so much? It is just pure romance and fairytales that we have dreamed of since we were little girls. After the honeymoon, the real work of marriage will start. Casey will have lots of notes to write and we moms think of this as oh so important that our friends are properly thanked for their gifts ,time, and attendance. I am always amazed at these young brides stamina..They can work all day, write notes by night, have fun with their new husband, entertain and set up a house and make it all look easy. We have taught them well..Keep up the work girls..its a tradition you will set for the daughters of the future!!Weddings are just fun..Marriage is hard work but the rewards are great. Keep God the focus and all will fall into place. I can't wait until we can see everyone at church tomorrow and talk about the night.Weddings..Such fun..much detail..romance ... and the start of a new life.
