We have had a great day..
We have enjoyed the company of family from out of State..
The food was really good , but ... no leftovers...no homemade sweet taters, homemade dressing, pecan pie...
Then again, there were no dishes to be done or tired feet from standing in the kitchen all day..
It's a toss up as which was the best..
The important thing is, we were with our family...people who love us through the good and bad..the ugly and sad..
I am feeling blessed that we were together, not all of us ,but together none the less...
Our family dynamics are changing..every year something is different..it was the same routine for so long, new faces in the crowd, new babies, new spouses, vistors, new locations..it's different but we are all the same ..we are family...
I thank God for all he has provided for us..We are blessed in so many ways,,I can't began to count,I am so undeserving of it all..God's love is so powerful and he sustains us in the changes we all have facing us..Hope your day was full of his blessings...
Loving you all...
Robin

No matter where...it's Thanksgiving as long as family is there! Sounds like it was a good one for you, anyway. I understand what you are saying about the scene changing...it's a good thing, but it's wistful, too. Oh, only us menopausal women would understand that. :)
Lots of Change...tis FAll my dear.
Lots has changed since we all spent last Thanksgiving at the beach. We only went for the day/ lunch and left after sunset, but I needed that FIX. Glad you had a big time at the GRAND. Since the Tide is rolling, I am enjoying the ride with hubby and son, even though I love Auburn.
