I am having trouble getting the picture of us on so..I will try later. I have held the post too long....
Ok..I never win anything, but my family got all excited when we found out we won First Place at the Reformation Party at Eastern Shore Pres. on Friday night!
We are dressed from the storybook characters of the books about Madeline. Madeline lives in a orphanage and Mrs. Clavell (Me) ,the nun takes care of the orphans..Mary Fuller is Madeline, Brooks is Madeline's dog and Lauren is the doctor that took out Madeline's appendix !
I can't tell you how excited she was when I jumped out of the car.I felt like a nut dressed in a nuns habit. It was worth millions.. I don't normally get into dressing up in costume..but I would do anything for my grandchildren.Even pretending being a nun..which is far from my natural life as a traveling housewife... It was so much fun...
I hope this will be one of many memories for my grandchildren to look back on and know their DeeDee loved being the nun just so she could be on the inside of Halloween with them this year....In a few years they won't give a hoot about their DeeDee being dressed up for Halloween, so I seized the moment.

Those costumes totally deserve first place. I love Madeline. I bought Mary Selwyn a dress for next spring with Madeline smocked on it. You must post the picture of y'all ASAP.
