My Home is my refuge, is what I wanted to talk about today. I love our house. It is a home. It is warm and welcoming. It is the perfect party house,with the exception of a guest bathroom. That could be fixed, but we like it just the way it is. It has character and it has these warm brick floors in the den and kitchen.I could go on forever about what I love about it , but I will spare you.
My point is, we have been traveling so much it has become cluttered. I hate clutter..I have too much stuff and I am on a mission to declutter . I was looking for some photos that are missing and decided that this was a great time to tear up the entire house looking for them.
I started yesterday morning at 4:30 a.m. and I am still looking for the pictures. I tend to get sidetracked and well,you guessed it, I have taken everything out of several closets and it is looking at me to get organized and put back in the near future.
I will get it done, but in my own time.I have found lots of stuff I wasn't looking for and I am glad I started because there is nothing like the feeling of getting things organized, boxed up and out of sight, so you can never find them when you need them again, unless you have a label maker and lots of energy to label and define what is in each container.
Does anyone else love to organize ,only to get it back in the mess it was in a matter of months ? As I have aged, I have become a stuffer. I used to never stuff things anywhere because of a lack of time to properly put them away. I love to have a place for everything and everything in it's place. I do it for a short while, but lazily fall back into bad habits. This time, I will TRY to get organized and stay that way. I have all the books, the organizing web sites, the blogs for self help, but only human failure can get it where it is at my house today. A total disaster..
Better get busy. I am behind this morning ,as it is about daylight and I must make progress.

Sorry the pictures have created many days of work!! I am planning a garage sale soon if you find stuff to get rid of.

There is way to much clutter at my house...30 years worth of stuff. I have already begun sorting and tossing in anticipation of our move in Dec. It will take me that long to go through it all...but I want to leave all the junk out! Just streamline our lives.
