Global Warming
What the heck is it? I looked it up in a dictionary and it was not in there. Come to find out my dictionary is real old. All I know about it is I don't like it. I am ready for some sure nuff cold weather to come here to Lower Alabama. It is late October and I am still wearing crop pants and open back shoes. I put on shorts around the house because I am always burning up. I know middle age has something to do with it and my extra pounds of love add to the issue .But, I am ready for a cold front. I would take snow but I know that would be a miracle. I just need a good hair day. The humidity is killing my hairdo. I have a natural wave that surrounds my head somewhat like a headband. It just starts at one side and goes around my head. Then it starts to curl and we girls know if you do not fix it to curl ,it ain't supposed to. I have tried that flat iron and I can't seem to get it. I look like a pancake head when I get through using it. I do know for sure the humidity is good for our skin. We went to Arizona one year , I kept wondering why all the women there had skin that looked like leather and then it dawned on me, the humidity is what makes us southern girls look so pretty. Have you ever seen one of those pale redheads with light glowing skin and just know she has not been out in the sun for a decade?Thats a Southern girl at her best. This takes me to all this tanning you girls are doing. I tell my girls they are frying their ovaries! If that doesn't scare you,I don't know what will. I tried the tanning thing and had a screaming breakdown because it made me feel like I was in a coffin.Back to the weather, I need cold so I can make some taco soup and get ready for the peanut festival and wear my fur coat that sits in my closet just begging to be worn.Weather man, Do you hear me? Send us a cold snap real soon. Hope it is cold where ever you are reading this blog. Loving you and praying for a cold front that is so cold it kills all the bugs...Robin
