Lauren and the children left around 2:30 to head back to Daphne. It took a while to help gather up all their belongings. I got the best job which was giving Brooks his bottle. I tried to bribe Mary Fuller into helping her mother but it seemed she was just way to interested in playing make-believe. She has quiet the imagination. Pat Lee and Mitzi Chambers had come by to visit earlier in the morning and it seemed she had us all going on a trip to Disney. She kept telling us to pretend along with her. Now, would life not be fabulous if we could use this as an escape mechanism ? She transported us all to Disney World with a pillow and her bright little mind. Lauren started looking around for her keys to star loading her car and when she found them she discovered her car would not crank. It seems she left the back hatch open. I quickly said ,just go in my car and I will bring the van when I come to pick you up in Daphne on Thursday. She was all smiles knowing the trip would go quickly with my XM radio. When they left they had the DISNEY channel tuned in. I told her to switch over to Oprah when Mary Girl settled down for a nap.Of course as soon as they left I jumped back in my bed to take a quick nap as life as been real busy since they came for the weekend.
My heart has been with a family Lauren and Dona have been praying for. They have a new baby with a terminal illness and the faith and courage this couple is showing is so remarkable. The baby, a little girl named Copeland is at home from the hospital and they are waiting for Gods miracle to happen. They are ready for Gods healing in whatever way he chooses.People from all over the United States are praying for this family who they do not even know. It is such a blessing to get to intercede for this family and child.Join me in your prayer time for them to be strong physically and emotionally as they care for this baby in their home.Just when we think we have problems ,God gets our attention with something that really is of importance. I will keep you informed on the Copeland's progress.
We went to Atlanta Bread Company with our Sunday School Class tonight. It was a good crowd and it was very relaxed as we moved around and visited with each other about what is going on in our lives.First Baptist has given us so many special friends and our Sunday School is filled with those who we love and care for.Our prayers are also with another friend whose son is battling throat and tongue cancer. And last, please be in prayer for my friend Becky who is undergoing chemo. I am praying she is strong enough to receive her treatment in Birmingham on Wednesday.
When we got home from dinner I pulled out Brooks needlepoint Christmas stocking that needs to be finished ASAP . I just lack a few things on it but it might take a few days of sewing here and there to get it ready to be put together. I am still working on Dee's. I started it last year when I decided to do painted canvases for all of us..It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Hope your day was as full as mine. I will need to do a lot of clothes washing today to get Dee ready and on the road again. He will leave Wednesday and meet us all in Jackson, MS. this Friday for the wedding of our niece Mary Brook. Some people say taxes and death are a sure thing but in our family WEDDINGS have been the sure thing for us this year!!!Have a good day and know that life is full of unexpected happenings but with Christ as our anchor we can weather any storm that is in our path.

I enjoyed catching up on everything in your life. I especially like your perspective on Southern weddings and Casey's in particular. I tried to go to Lauren's blog, but I could not get it to work. I was hoping to see more pictures of that BEAUTIFUL little boy on Mom's fridge :)
